Six Weeks in Kenya

When I was seventeen years old, I traveled to Kenya to attend the Koobi Fora Field School - a six week paleoanthropological field school that took me from Nairobi to the Laikipia Plateau to East Turkana and back.

Fun? Intense? Interesting? You bet.

Also, fairly expensive. To offset the cost of the Koobi Fora Field School, I promised to record my experience in a journal and turn my notes into a book when I returned. From numerous pre-purchases of that book, donations, and other immensely generous acts, my family and I were able to raise enough money to cover the majority of my tuition. Thank you to all who lent their support and to those who may be finding this blog for the first time!

I am currently completing the book, which is currently titled Six Weeks in Kenya, and will be posting excerpts on this blog regularly until it is ready to send out!

Here is a promotional video I posted for fundraising purposes before my departure!
